CrewFind is an independent application built for the Star Citizen community. The app is available at sc-crewfind.com and on the Google Play Store. CrewFind is not affiliated with Cloud Imperium Games or Roberts Space Industries.

// What Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when using the app:

• Account information — your email address and password if you register with email, or your Discord username and ID if you sign in with Discord
• RSI Handle — your Star Citizen pilot handle, which is displayed publicly on your listings and profile
• Profile information — optional details you choose to add, including a bio, avatar image, Twitch/YouTube handles, Discord tag, and ships in your hangar
• Crew listings — posts you create advertising crew slots, including ship, mission type, timezone, and playstyle preferences
• Messages — direct messages sent between users within the app
• Ratings — pilot ratings and comments you leave on other users' profiles

// How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to operate and improve CrewFind:

• To create and manage your account
• To display your crew listings and profile to other players
• To enable in-app messaging between pilots
• To send Discord notifications when someone applies to your listing (if you've connected Discord)
• To show your pilot rating and reputation on your public profile

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.

// What We Share

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

Your RSI handle, listings, profile bio, hangar, and ratings are visible to other CrewFind users by design — that's the point of the app. Your email address is never shown to other users.

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data and messages are stored on Supabase infrastructure. Supabase Privacy Policy →
• Discord — optional OAuth login. If you sign in with Discord, we receive your Discord username and ID. Discord Privacy Policy →

// Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase servers. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password for your CrewFind account.

// Messages

Direct messages sent between users are stored in our database to enable conversation history. Messages are only visible to the participants in a conversation. You can clear your side of any conversation at any time from within the app.

We do not read private messages except where required by law or to investigate reported abuse.

// Your Rights & Choices

You have control over your data:

• Edit your profile — update or remove your bio, avatar, social links, and hangar ships at any time from your profile page
• Delete your listings — remove any of your crew listings at any time
• Delete your account — permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Danger Zone section at the bottom of your profile page. This removes your profile, listings, hangar, ratings, and messages from our systems
• Access your data — contact us at admin@sc-crewfind.com to request a copy of your data

// Children's Privacy

CrewFind is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Star Citizen itself requires players to be at least 13 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

// Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we'll post a notice in the app.
